ACC final

No, not us...The TERPS got out early and often en route
to a 7-3 halftime advantage. Kelly Kasper put the TERPS
up 8 - 3 early in the 2nd half but Virginia countered with 6
unanswered goals for a 9 - 8 lead going into the last 5
minutes of regulation. Caitlyn McFadden tied it all up at
1:25 and into overtime we go.....

For the first time, the ACC final went to overtime. Virginia
controlled the draw and stalled until deciding to make a
move... Kalkstein from Weymouth, with the goal at the 8
second mark of the first OT...and it was enough as VA held on
for the W. 10-9.

TERPS on ACC ALL TOURNAMENT TEAM - - Dobbie, Cohen,
Kasper, Buote - deservedly so - absolutely....and ok, so
maybe mates like - McFadden, Magor, Amanda Spinnenweber,

TERPS v PENN ST.

The TERPS battled a tough Lion team into sudden

third goal at the :50 mark of the sudden death period
was the TERPS edge in the 12 -11 victory.
The TERPS jumped out with a Dana Dobbie goal at
the :38 sec mark. It was one of the 10 draw controls
by Dana on the night. Scoring back and forth in the
half but our TERPS were up 6-5 going into the
break.
2nd half - well, after Lauren Cohen's goal, PSU posted
4 unanswered scores giving them their biggest lead of
the game 9 -7. Back and forth again to the 1:03 mark
when PSU tied it up - overtime. See 1st paragraph.
Allie B answered the call all night making 11 saves.

TERPS v ALUMS

The game was played at 9:30am last Saturday and
the TERPS welcomed back many former TERPS for
their annual contest. The TERPS jumped out to a
commanding 10 -1 lead in the first half but the ALUMS
kept shooting and nearly erased the gap. TERPS
offense was clicking early on while the ALUMS
shots were slightly off the mark. In the end it was
TERPS 16 - ALUMS 14.
Great to see 20-25 of our TERPS back on the field
together! I will forget someone so will not try to
name all attending. Wonderful to see all of you in
College Park again! Parents - the tailgate was again
in a league of it's own. Thank you.
Editor's note - it was Cayden Reese's first lacrosse
game ever!!
